DIGITAL FORENSIC READINESS FRAMEWORK BASED ON HONEYPOT AND HONEYNET FOR BYOD

The utilization of the internet within organizations has surged over past decade. Though, it numerous benefits, also comes with its own challenges such as intrusions and threats. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) a growing trend among allow employees to connect their portable devices smart phones, tablets, laptops, organization’s network perform organizational duties. It gained popularity years because flexibility cost effectiveness. This adoption BYOD exposed security risks demands proactive measures mitigate incidents. In this study, we propose Digital Forensic Readiness (DFR) framework for using honeypot technology. consists following components: devices, Management, People, Technology DFR. is designed comply ISO/IEC 27043, detect incidents/threats collect potential digital evidence low- high-level interaction honeypots. Besides, proffers adequate support organization through space isolation, device management, crypto operations, policies database. would ensure improve information well securely preserve evidence. Embedding DFR into will enable an stay abreast when handling incident.
